Fees are discussed in advance of conducting the assessment or consultation with Dr. Donnelly. Upon referral, a verbal or if requested a written estimate will be provided, specifying the range of hours expected, as well as anticipated timelines to complete the project. Typically, forensic cases involve retainers (approximately 50% of the expected fee of the evaluation or consultation). Fees include professional activities related to face-to-face in-office, or remote time with those being evaluated, record review, report writing, literature reviews, interviews (in-person, remote, or telephonic) with collateral sources, travel time, preparation time for deposition and expert testimony, preparation of requested raw data, as well as in-person expert testimony charged at either a half-day, or full-day rate. Professional activites may also includes the initial case consultation, typically conducted telephonically or remotely but upon request may be in-person.
